About STREPVISION 2026

STREPVISION 2026 is a focused international scientific meeting dedicated to advancing research on streptococcal infections, their immune-mediated complications, and associated neuroimmune and neuropsychiatric disorders, including Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal Infections (PANDAS), Pediatric Acute-onset Neuropsychiatric Syndrome (PANS), and related post-infectious conditions.

The meeting will bring together leading researchers, clinicians, and healthcare professionals from the fields of microbiology, immunology, neuroimmunology, infectious diseases, psychiatry, neurology, pediatrics, and translational medicine to critically examine current evidence, unresolved questions, and emerging discoveries spanning streptococcal biology, host–pathogen interactions, immune-mediated disease, and infection-associated neuroimmune disorders.

Despite significant advances in streptococcal research, many aspects of host–pathogen interactions, immune-mediated sequelae, and infection-associated neuropsychiatric disorders remain incompletely understood. Important challenges persist, including variability in diagnostic criteria, limited understanding of disease mechanisms, the identification and validation of reliable biomarkers, and ongoing questions surrounding disease pathogenesis, causality, and therapeutic strategies.

Designed as a discussion-driven scientific forum, STREPVISION 2026 aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration, promote the exchange of ideas across basic, translational, and clinical research, and identify priorities for future investigation, innovation, and improved patient care.
